PROGRAMME OUTLINE

This course aims to help educators increase their general understanding of AI. Educators who complete this course successfully should develop a deeper understanding of the background, evolution, application, and pedagogical knowledge of AI.

  • Explain what Artificial Intelligence is.
  • Identify the key historical events of AI and how AI has evolved since 1950.
  • Explain how different disciplines have contributed to the development of AI (e.g., Mathematics, Philosophy, Psychology, Engineering, Control theory, and Cybernetics).
  • Identify the use cases and applications of AI.
  • Explain pedagogical practices for AI literacy through the TPACK framework.
