Welcome to the exhilarating world of numbers and problem-solving! Marshall Cavendish Education proudly presents two prestigious competitions to elevate your students’ passion for mathematics: the International Singapore Maths Competition (ISMC) and the 16th Annual Mathlympics Competition!
We aim to discover young mathematical talents globally and cultivate the joy and enthusiasm for Mathematics amongst students. We are excited to host the global round for both competitions physically in Singapore in June 2024.
Global International Singapore Maths Competition (ISMC)
What is InternationalSingapore Maths Competition (ISMC)?
The ISMC is a unique maths competition based upon Singapore’s brand of Mathematics. It is open to all grade 2 – 6 ISMC regional round participants who want to benchmark themselves against the performance of a cohort of Singapore students in the same age group.
Competition Format
Grade: 2-6
Duration: 1.5 hours
Mode: Written Paper
Format:
28 Questions
Section A: Multiple Choice Questions
Questions 1 to 5 (2 marks each)
Questions 6 to 10 (3 marks each)
Section B: Short Questions
Question 11 to 20 (4 marks each)
Section C: Problem Solving Questions
Question 21 to 25 (4 marks each)
Question 26 to 28 (5 marks each)
Calculators are only allowed for Grades 5 & 6.

16th Annual Mathlympics Competition
What is 16th AnnualMathlympics Competition?
This prestigious Math Olympiad competition invites our
Grades 4-7 Mathlympics finalists globally to compete in a concept competition
that poses carefully curated questions on Visual-Spatial Intelligence and
Mathematics.
Competition Format
Grade: 4-7
Duration: 1.5 hours
Mode: Written Paper
Topics:
All questions draw on the overarching theme of Visual-Spatial Cognition within the content areas of:
- Fractions, Percentage, Ratio in 2D figures, 3D solids
- Area, Perimeter and Volume
- 2D & 3D Perspectives
- Symmetry, Rotation of 2D figures and 3D solids
- Nets
- Area, Perimeter of Circles
- Angles Properties (including Circles)
- Measures and Measurement
- Rate and Speed
Format:
25 Questions

Awards and Prizes
The following award categories apply to both ISMC and Mathlympics competition:
Global Champion
The top student of the competition will be awarded a trophy.
Top Country Winners
Top winners from each participating country will be awarded a trophy.
Top 10 Performing Winners
The top 10 students of the competition will be awarded a medal, excluding the Global Champion.
Merit Medals
All remaining contestants will be awarded to all participants.
A certificate of participation will be awarded to all students.

Marshall Cavendish Education is the organiser of the International Singapore Maths Competition (ISMC) and Annual Mathlympics.
All information shared to us will follow Marshall Cavendish Education's data protection and privacy statements.
By participating in this physical competition, I understand that there will be photographs and videos taken at the event, and MCE has the right to edit and use the assets for media publicity including use in print, broadcast and online.
The registration / competition fee is non-refundable or exchangeable for products or services.
Winners will be selected by the Organiser's panel of judges and the decision is final.
The prize is as stated and is non-transferable and not-for-sale. No cash alternatives will be offered. If due to circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control, the Organiser is unable to provide the stated prize or any part thereof, the Organiser reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater value, to be determined at the Organisers’ sole discretion.
